Welcome to Highlands Field Hockey Club

Highlands Field Hockey is dedicated to growing the sport of field hockey in Bergen County New Jersey.  Whether you are picking up a stick for the first time or aspire to become an elite player, our programs will assist you in achieving your goals.

Highlands Field Hockey offers developmental programs, training and competitive opportunities year round for athletes in K-12. Based out of Allendale, NJ our club features an elite caliber coaching staff. 
Skills Clinic & Games for 4th through 8th Graders

Winter Skills Clinic & Games for 4th through 8th Graders

Highlands Field Hockey will be running a Winter training program that will consist of skill development and scrimmages for 4th - 8th graders. The goal is to prepare kids to play at the high school level. All towns are welcome to participate.

Location: Superdome (Waldwick, NJ)

Dates & Times:

  • December: 9 Hours of Training
    • Sunday (3pm – 5pm) December: 5, 12, 19
    • Wednesday (6pm – 7pm) December: 1, 8,15
  • January: 10 Hours of Training
    • Sunday (12pm – 2pm) January: 9, 23, 30
    • Wednesday (6pm – 7pm) January: 5, 12, 19, 26
  • February: 9 Hours of Training
    • Sunday (12pm – 2pm) February: 6, 13, 27
    • Wednesday (6pm – 7pm) February: 2, 9, 16

*Practice dates and times may change based on facility availability and outdoor practices will not be made up in the event of inclement weather.

Costs & Registration:

Equipment: All athletes should bring their own equipment including field hockey stick, shin guards, mouth guard, goggles, water bottle, turf shoes/sneakers.

High School Training with Rapid Fire Elite at the Superdome

 

Elite High School Training with Rapid Fire Elite at the Superdome (U16/U19)

Highlands Field Hockey Club is excited to announce that we are partnering with Rapid Fire Elite to offer elite level high school training this winter at the Superdome! Offered to u16 and u19 (DOB: 2003 through 2007) players in all towns! Now you don’t have to travel over 45 minutes to train with an elite club in the winter. 

The mission of Rapid Fire Elite (RFE) is to develop and advance field hockey players’ skills to the highest level. RFE coaches are Olympians and National Team members, who will train high school players with experience looking to enhance their all-round talent right here in Waldwick, NJ. 

Winter Sessions will be Offered on Wednesdays from 6:30pm-8pm at the Superdome in Waldwick, NJ 

Sessions will be capped at 30 players so register now to ensure your spot!

K Through 3rd Grade Training

Winter Training (K Through 3rd Grade)

Highlands Field Hockey Club will be running a Winter program that will consist of skill development for K-3 graders. The program will teach and build on the player’s fundamental skills by further developing proper passing and receiving techniques, footwork, shooting styles, offensive and defensive strategies along with game strategy. All skill levels are encouraged to play! All towns are welcome to participate.

  • January: Sunday (12pm – 1pm) January: 9, 23, 30
